Teaching

Teaching is why I'm here.

A tutor once helped me through chemistry when I was struggling. That moment is the reason I teach, and the standard I hold myself to.

I struggled with chemistry as an undergraduate. What turned it around wasn't a textbook; it was a patient, insightful tutor who helped me see the subject differently. I teach because I want to be that person for someone else.

My research and my teaching feed each other: studying how students learn General Chemistry makes me a sharper instructor, and time in the lab keeps my research grounded in real classrooms. I care about clear explanations, well-designed lab experiences, and giving every student a way in.
